Progress update from the 3DP pilot

Many projects’ generations, B2B connections and expertise/experience sharing during the latest 3DP Pilot Plenary Meeting!

On the 6th and 7th of July 2021, the 3DP Pilot held his 13th Plenary Meeting and for the first time ever, the dense programme was spread over 2 days. The event gathered more than 100 active and specialised participants from our 39 participating regions. 5 ‘Pilot’ sessions (funding opportunities, pitching of new project ideas, etc.) and 10 ‘demo cases dedicated’ sessions were organised.
As usual, the meeting was substantial in developing further existing projects and members found the expertise they were looking for in view of implementing demonstration projects.

Additionally, the meeting was a testimony of VI 3DP’s intensified and agile way of working, with 5 new project ideas being pitched, a growing number of company ‘use cases’ being presented and integrated into the demo cases, and a number of direct B2B connections being established.

The 3DP Pilot continues strengthening its position as a flexible and agile tool to generate new cross regional demonstration projects: 5 new project ideas were submitted in July 2021!

The “3DP Pilot Platform for Pitching and Implementing new cross regional projects” has been launched in October 2019 in order to further position the 3DP Pilot as an open and flexible cross-regional platform for generating and facilitating the implementation of ambitious demonstration projects that are not (per se) under the scope of the current demo cases.

In 2019 and 2020, following two ‘Calls for new ideas’, 9 projects have been further developed (gathering interest from all members, scoping and designing the projects, etc.). Some of these projects have achieved concrete outcomes already with the help of the VI 3DP Pilot: cross regional SMEs led demonstration projects funded by 3DP PAN EU, B2B connections generated, etc.

In June 2021, a new call for new project ideas was launched. Very rapidly, 5 new project ideas were submitted and all of them were pitched during the Plenary Meeting on July 6th.
